The State Minister for Public Service, Mary Grace Mugasa, has called on local leaders across Hoima City to intensify mobilization efforts for the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) and rally support behind President Yoweri Museveni as the country gears up for the 2026 general elections.
. She stressed the importance of collective effort, calling on all local leaders to “join forces with the winners” and push for a strong NRM showing in the coming elections.

She challenged the LC1 chairpersons to harness these achievements and help deliver “one of the highest victory margins” for NRM in Hoima City during the 2026 polls.
Officials say that President Museveni is expected to mobilize support through campaign rallies in Hoima City and across Hoima District on December 11, 2025, before wrapping up the day with a final rally in neighboring Buliisa District. The visit is anticipated to galvanize grassroots supporters ahead of next year’s elections.
