Members of inter-religious council Kagadi chapter have written to Kagadi district security committee protesting the alleged planned visit of Owobusobozi Bisaka, the leader of the faith of unity to Kagadi Itambiro in Kagadi town council on Christmas day.
It’s reported that the believers of the faith of unity together with their leader will gather at Kagadi Itambiro from 23-25th December this year.
Pastor Magezi F Ibrahim the chairperson of inter-religious council Kagadi charter, the gathering of the believers of the faith of unity are intended to disrupt the celebrations of Christians during the birthday of Jesus Christ.
Magezi has asked the security of Kagadi district through the RDC to advise the believers of the faith of unity to postpone their intended gathering till after 1st January next year as one way of creating peace and harmony.
Father Johnpaul Businge of St. Mary’s Kagadi Catholic parish says they have written to various security agencies to handle the matter.
Reverend captain Atuhire Wilson, the archdeacon of Katikengeyo Archdeaconry asked all religious leaders to uphold the relationship that has been in existence for many years.
Sheikh Isingoma Muhammad, the Kibaale Muslim district Kadh says the Muslim community is deeply concerned over disrespect of religions in Kagadi district.
Omuhereza Bigirwa, the chairperson of Kagadi Itambiro confirmed that Owobusobozi Bisaka plans to visit Kagadi Itambiro from 23-25th December the year to preach oneness.
He says postponing the date will depend on the decision of owobusobozi Bisaka.
