The Buliisa Woman Member of Parliament, Hon. Norah Bigirwa Nyendwoha, has praised the NRM government for what she described as tremendous development in the district. She says it is only right for the people of Buliisa to show appreciation by re-electing President Yoweri Museveni on 15th January 2026.

Hon. Bigirwa was speaking during a preparation meeting ahead of President Museveni’s visit to Buliisa on 11th December 2025, as part of his campaign tour in the Bunyoro Sub-region.

She reminded residents that as recently as 2015, Buliisa had no tarmac roads, no electricity, and very few hotels or modern facilities. She credited the improvements to the peace and leadership provided by President Museveni, urging voters to support him for continued development.

The meeting was chaired by the area Member of Parliament and NRM district chairperson, Hon. Allan Atugonza, who called on all residents to turn up in large numbers at Buliisa Town Council playgrounds to welcome the President. He also appealed to voters to support Museveni for continuity of government programs such as PDM, YLP, and UWEP.

Meanwhile, Buliisa District yesterday held two strategy meetings aimed at preparing for the President’s visit and strengthening the parish-level mobilization method to secure victory in the upcoming election. The Deputy RDC, Mr. Sylvester, urged leaders to mobilize seriously and maintain transparency to win public trust.
