The government has officially handed over a solar-powered piped water project to Hoima District Authorities, benefiting residents of Kigorobya Town Council.
The UGX 1.1 billion project, implemented by Nexus Green and funded by the Ministry of Water and Environment, aims to curb the use of unsafe water sources.
Hoima District Chairperson, Uthuman Mugisa Mubaraka, said the system features a 7,000-liter tank and will supply water across the town council and nearby villages.
