Biiso fm in partnership with TASHA Institute is set to distribute more tree seedlings in the ongoing campaign named Ekibira Ky’eka meaning “Plant a family forest” which started in 2019 with the aim of conserving the environment right from the house hold.
The seedlings donated by NFA will be distributed to members who will have filled forms showing interest in planting the trees at their homes which is one way of conserving the environment and reduction of pollution resulting from the oil and gas extraction and production process.
Speaking to our reporter at Biiso fm premises, the Programs director Mr. Zephania Ikiriza explained that as a radio station they saw it important to mobilise and sensitize the public on the negative effects that may come out from oil extraction where more trees will be needed to absorb all kind of carbon dioxide.
