Mugisa released the figures during the burial of Joseph Kyamanywa Isingoma, also known as Adura Omuto, who was laid to rest on Wednesday at his home in Katama Cell, Masindi Municipality.
Kyamanywa was a survivor of the 1995 Lord’s Resistance Army attack along the Kiryandongo–Pakwach road.

According to Mugisa, Masindi District recorded the highest number of applicants with 941, followed by Kiryandongo District with 986, and Buliisa District with 361.

Interviews Begin Thursday

Mugisa announced that interviews for all applicants will be conducted tomorrow, Thursday, at the following venues:

  • Masindi Central Police Station

  • Kiryandongo Central Police Station

  • Buliisa Central Police Station (on Friday, November 7, 2025)

The recruitment exercise will begin with warming-up and physical fitness sessions, followed by written tests and physical examinations to assess the suitability of candidates for service.

He emphasized that only those who pass all stages of the exercise will be considered for deployment as Election Special Police Constables during the upcoming general elections.
