Buliisa District, Uganda – Religious and local leaders in Buliisa have called on parents to take full responsibility for guiding and protecting their children who have just completed their Primary Seven and Senior Four final examinations.
The appeal comes as thousands of candidates across the district begin their long holiday.
Speaking to our reporter, several religious leaders emphasized the need for parental care and moral guidance during this period.
Faith Leaders Call for Moral Guidance
Pr. Freeman Josephat, of End Time Message Church in Biiso Town Council, urged parents to nurture their children in the fear of God and to encourage them to seek spiritual growth during the holiday.

He further cautioned parents against allowing children to loiter at night or attend overnight disco dances, saying such behavior exposes them to bad peer groups and moral decay.

Students Advised to Stay Focused
Meanwhile, Pr. Junior Katusime of Delight Mission Church and overseer of Uganda Pentecostal Churches in Buliisa District, advised pupils and students to remain focused on their life goals.
He reminded them that completing Primary Seven is not the end of their academic journey and urged them to avoid bad company, alcohol, and drug abuse.
Quoting from Colossians 3:20, he said:
“Children, obey your parents in all things; for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.”
