Investigations are underway into a shooting incident that left a pregnant woman and her child injured in Buliisa District.
Officials from the National Forestry Authority, together with police and other security agencies, are working to establish who authorized the operation, why those involved were not in uniform, and the circumstances that led to the injuries.
In an Interview with our reporter last evening, the Authority’s Communications and Public Relations officer, Aldon Walukamba, said the operation was carried out without the knowledge of the NFA, the range manager, or local leaders.
He adds that the individuals involved used a private vehicle, registration number UBL 121R Subaru, during the operation.
The incident resulted in serious injuries to a pregnant woman and her daughter.
