Buliisa District — Residents of Buliisa District have expressed readiness to take part in the general elections scheduled for Thursday this week, urging fellow voters to turn up in large numbers and maintain peace throughout the electoral process.
Several mothers who spoke to our reporter voiced concerns over possible electoral violence, voter intimidation and unrest, particularly among the youth. They appealed to the community to prioritize peace before, during and after polling day.
Darlson Nyamijumbi, a resident of Kitahura Cell in Buliisa Town Council, said she is fully prepared for polling day and called on voters to exercise their democratic right responsibly. She emphasized the need for calm and unity, noting that peace has been maintained during previous elections.
