Police in Biiso Town council Buliisa district have expressed concern over the increasing cases of mob justice.
The expression was made by Nelson Kasangaki the officer in charge of Biiso police station during a council meeting held at Biiso community hall this afternoon
According to Kasangaki, Biiso has recorded three death all resulting from mob justice in a period of three months
He said that the
Kasangaki added that the three acts have attracted the attention of authorities from the police headquarters thus warning those involved to stop taking laws into their hands
He urged whoever is offended to report to police in order the law take its course
In a related incident, a yet-to-be-identified man was also killed by a mob on suspicion of theft at Kibiingo Lower Cell in Kibiingo Ward, Hoima City West Division. The incident occurred on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at around 8:02 am, according to the Albertine Region Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), SP Julius Allan Hakiza.
The PRO said the victim, believed to be in his 20s, sustained severe injuries, burns, and restraints before dying at the scene. The body was later taken to Hoima City Morgue for postmortem examination and identification.
He further appealed to the public to cooperate with authorities and provide any information that could help bring the perpetrators to justice.
