Drama unfolded in Biiso Town, Buliisa District, after a boda boda rider abandoned sacks of charcoal and fled the scene following a night-time road crash.
The accident occurred at around 8:50 p.m. along the Biiso–Butiaba–Buliisa road when two motorcycles collided head-on, reportedly due to over speeding.
Both riders sustained minor injuries but disappeared before police could arrive. One of the motorcycles was carrying charcoal, which eyewitnesses say helped reduce the impact of the crash.
Residents later gathered to clear the road and expressed growing concern over the rising number of accidents in the area.
