Residents of Buliisa District have been urged to wisely utilize Parish Development Model (PDM) funds to boost household incomes and stimulate local economic growth. The call was made by the District Chief Administrative Officer, Prof. Dr. Levi Musinguzi Bahemuka, during an interview at his office.

Dr. Musinguzi emphasized that with the inauguration of the Local Economic Development and Investment Committee (LEDIC), residents need to adopt a proactive approach to business. He encouraged them to seize the economic opportunities emerging from the district’s oil and gas sector.

The CAO praised President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the government for initiating the Parish Development Model, noting that it provides essential start-up capital for families to enhance their livelihoods.

Echoing similar sentiments, the District Commercial Officer, Mr. Fredrick Alituha, encouraged residents to utilize local resources such as land and Lake Albert to start small businesses instead of waiting for large-scale investments.
