The National Resistance Movement (NRM) district heads in Buliisa have rallied supporters and non-supporters of the ruling party to participate in the registration, display and update process starting tomorrow on Wednesday 13th March 2024.
This comes after NRM National Chairman Yoweri Kaguta Museveni launched a countrywide registration exercise for all party members at the Secretariat, Kyadondo Road in Kampala.
In an interview with a Biiso Fm reporter, the woman Member of Parliament for Buliisa constituency who also doubles as the foreign affairs committee chairperson, Hon. Norah Bigirwa urged residents to turn up the three days exercise from Wednesday, March 13th to Sunday, March 17th in their respective villages.
Norah reiterated the need for all residents in the NRM to confirm their particulars membership in the NRM Yellow Book, which certifies the member as a bonafide NRM cadre eligible for the party’s electoral activities and the national elections at large.
The legislator also added that Uganda was set to conduct the National Population and housing Census 2024 with the reference night being 9th May 2024.
The Census will be done in 10 days starting on 9th May 2024 to 19th May 2024. The President of Uganda, His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, launched the NPHC 2024 activity on December 12th2023.
