He, however, urged the people of Hoima to follow the Electoral Commission guidelines to ensure a peaceful campaigns and voting process.

The Resident District Commissioner for Hoima District, Mr. Rogers Mbabazi, has reassured the people of Hoima District and the Bunyoro region at large that the security situation will remain stable as the country prepares for the 2026 general elections.

Rogers made this call while in an interview with our reporter in Hoima District.

 

The Presidential representative emphasized that as the Electoral Commission organizes the upcoming polls, security agencies remain committed to maintaining peace and supporting conditions for free and fair elections.

He also noted that citizens also have a role to play to enable a successful electoral process.

RDC Rogers also commended the Fountain of Honor, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, for establishing the Sub-County Policing initiative that helps keep law and order in the region at Sub-County levels.
