Butiaba Red Scorpion Football Club has emerged champion of the 2025 Total Energies Mini League after defeating Nyamitete Simba FC 1–0 in a heated final played on Saturday at Kisiabi Primary School playgrounds in Buliisa Town Council.
The tournament attracted hundreds of fans who also watched the women’s final, where Inspac FC triumphed over Inspire Queens FC 3–2 in penalties after a full-time draw.
Both Butiaba Red Scorpion (men) and Inspac FC (women) walked away with trophies, 4 million shillings each, 20 pairs of playing boots, and silver medals.
Runners-up Nyamitete Simba and Inspire Queens each also received 2 million shillings, boots, and medals, alongside individual awards for the best players, scorers, and officials.
Guest of honour, District Sports Officer Godfrey Muhumuza, applauded Total Energies for supporting local football and urged the company to extend its support to primary schools.
