Excitement is building in Hoima District as Woman Member of Parliament aspirant Hon. Susan Asiimwe gears up for her official nomination on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
Hon. Asiimwe, a passionate advocate for grassroots development, says her decision to join the race stems from her desire to champion the real needs of Hoima’s people—especially women, youth, and farmers. She emphasized that her campaign is rooted in unity, service, and homegrown leadership.
Speaking ahead of her nomination, Hon. Asiimwe rallied support from residents across the district, urging them to stand with her in the journey toward a more prosperous Hoima.
“I am one of you. I was born and raised here, and I understand the challenges our people face every day,” she said. “Other candidates may come from Hoima City, but I know the struggles in our villages—poor roads, limited health services, unemployment, and low education levels. Together, we can change this.”
Hon. Asiimwe pledged to focus her efforts on improving infrastructure, empowering women and youth through entrepreneurship, and ensuring better access to social services. She believes inclusive development is key to lifting Hoima’s communities out of poverty.
Residents from various sub-counties have already expressed growing enthusiasm for her candidacy, describing her as a leader with “a genuine heart for the people.”
As nomination day draws closer, Hon. Asiimwe says she remains confident and ready to serve—calling on the people of Hoima to join her in shaping a brighter, more self-reliant future for their district.
