Kasese Divisional Police is holding a 35 year old man suspected to have beaten to death his grandfather aged 80 on allegation of practicing witchcraft.

Rwenzori East Region Police spokesperson ASP Nelson Tumushiime confirmed and identified the suspect as, Mr. Geofrey Muhindo who is alleged of killing late Nyerere Julius on allegation that he could have led to the death of a senior four student at Rwenzori Christian Vocational School, late Arnold Mumbere, who died in Nyamwamba River while fermenting Waragi last year.

The Chairperson Local One Basecamp lower cell, Mr. Jafali Kigutiha where late Nyerere was residing told our reporter that, Justice will prevail since the first suspect has been arrested while the search for two more suspects is on.

An elder Brother to the late Nyerere Julius, Mr. Bonifasi Thembo Broke into tears as he explained how his brother died after failing to get someone to rescue his life

He also narrated how his late Brother succumbed to injuries after his youthful grandchildren pounced to him mercilessly.
