Masindi:
Masindi District leaders, led by the Assistant Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Patrick Asiimwe, have commissioned and officially handed over government-funded projects worth Shs 377 million, calling on beneficiaries to utilize and maintain them sustainably.

The commissioned projects include a renovated four-classroom block at Mihembero Primary School valued at Shs 62 million, aimed at improving the learning environment for pupils in the area. Leaders also handed over the mechanized maintenance works of the 6.4-kilometre Ntooma–Kaikuku road, which cost Shs 140 million and is expected to ease transportation and improve access to social and economic services.

During the same event, district leaders launched works for the mechanized maintenance of the 17.3-kilometre Kinyara–Sonso road, estimated at Shs 110 million. The road project is intended to enhance connectivity between communities and support the movement of agricultural produce to markets.

Speaking at the launch, Assistant RDC Patrick Asiimwe urged residents to take advantage of the improved road network to increase agricultural production, access markets more easily, and ultimately boost household incomes. He also emphasized the need for the community to protect the infrastructure to ensure its long-term benefit.

Asiimwe further called on contractors to deliver quality work and complete the projects within the stipulated time, while appealing to local leaders to closely monitor implementation for value for money.
