Hoima
The Minister of State for Sports, Peter Ogwang, has issued a one-week ultimatum to Hoima City Council to hand over the land title for Hoima Booma Grounds to the National Council of Sports, warning that the project may be relocated if the deadline is missed.
Ogwang expressed disappointment over delays and said the grounds will be developed into a modern training facility, with the city maintaining its role in its management.
He stressed that the facility must be ready by June 2026, ahead of Uganda’s preparations for co-hosting the 2027 AFCON.
