Supporters of incumbent Hoima District Woman MP Harriet Businge, widely known as Baby Face, have picked nomination forms for her to contest as an independent candidate, though still leaning on the NRM.
The move follows her loss in the NRM primaries to Ms. Beatrace Wembabazi, also known as Teacher Mummy.
Silvia Kusemererwa and Vincent Asiimwe from Hanga Village in Kigoroby Sub County say they want Businge back on the ballot to complete the projects she started in the district.

According to NRM Electoral Commission Chairperson Dr. Tanga Odoi, Wembabazi garnered 13,795 votes representing 39 percent. Businge polled 11,407 votes or 32 percent, while Suzan Asiimwe came third with 10,337 votes representing 29 percent.
The primaries were earlier marred by confusion after Hoima District Registrar Joseph Kutegeka declared two winners for the same seat, sparking a petition.
