Christians have been called upon to strengthen their families and work hard in order to serve God faithfully as true disciples of Jesus.
The appeal was made by Pastor Muhumuza Bob, lead speaker at the 2025 Seventh-day Adventist annual camp-meeting, while addressing the press at SDA Biiso Main Church in Biiso Town Council, Buliisa District.
Pastor Muhumuza emphasized that a stable home is the foundation of Christianity, noting that “a home is the first heaven.” He urged believers to live in love and peace, warning that families built on violence reflect the works of Satan.
On development, Pastor Muhumuza encouraged Christians to engage in productive projects, stressing that both church growth and strong families result from hard work.

Meanwhile, Pastor Charles Tumwesige from Kikuube reminded participants that camp-meetings are biblical, referencing Deuteronomy 16:13 and Leviticus 23:39-42, where God instructed the Israelites to build booths in the desert.

Pastor Isaya Musinguzi of Buliisa SDA Church also urged all people, including non-SDAs and local leaders, to attend camp-meetings as a way of gaining knowledge about the true God.
The camp-meeting chairperson, Elder Cypriano Mbaga, said the gathering aims to transform Christians to live by God’s will. He cautioned believers against “cheating God” by refusing to dedicate at least one week a year fully to worship.
First Elder Stephen Mujuni encouraged participants to practice what they have learned, so that “God may be seen in them.”
The camp-meeting, which started on August 15th, runs until August 23rd, 2025, featuring activities such as home visits, prayers for the sick, Bible study, music, and drama.
