Police in Buliisa District are still holding a vehicle suspected to have been used in a recent case of cattle theft.
The vehicle, a Toyota Alphard registration number UAZ 808K, was impounded earlier this month after it was allegedly used to ferry two stolen cows from Buliisa to Hoima District.
According to Albertine North Regional Police Commander, Damale Nachuha, the vehicle remains parked at Biiso Police Station since no one has come forward to claim ownership.

The vehicle was intercepted during a joint night patrol by Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) officials and Police. The operation took place at Kapapi Trading Centre along the Biiso–Hoima road.
URA operations officer in Biiso, Joram Musime, said the suspects refused to stop at a checkpoint in Kihungya Sub-county, prompting a chase. They later abandoned the vehicle and fled, leaving behind the stolen cows.
