Two women have been burnt to ashes in a grass thatched house at Kamagongolo landing site in Walukuba Butiaba Sub County Buliisa District.
The deceased are identified as Jacklyn Bidongo and one Faaling aged 40 and 43 respectively residents of Sitini Village in Biiso Sub County who were living in the house belonging to Magali a resident of Kamagongolo landing site.
According to the chairperson LC1 Kamagongolo village Mr. Fredrick Kazin says the incident happened at around 3am as they were asleep.
It is alleged that, the unknown person locked the door and set the house a blaze.
Magali the house owner disclosed that, she was informed through phone calls at around 4am, stating that she had left the house to one of the deceased to stay in.
Magali alleges that, according to the child to one of the deceased says that, one of the deceased was taken to a bar for leisure by a man who was not identified.
By press time, the remains of the deceased were at Biiso health center IV in Biiso town council Buliisa District for postmortem.
The Albertine region Police spokesperson Alan Hakiza says an investigation into the matter has commenced.
